Daniel Young

Hi, I’m Daniel Young, a Data Scientist at the Cognizant AI Lab and an incoming Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at Austin 🤘, and it has always been my dream to have a fun Ph.D. student webpage.

I’m interested in artificial intelligence and neural networks, more specifically in using them to aid and augment human decision making. I’m interested in doing so in areas that can help the world like climate change. Currently I am working on Project Resilience, a collboration between the Cognizant AI Lab and the United Nations to use AI for sustainable development.

Outside of work, I enjoy running and playing volleyball, I am a Bay Area sports fan, and I like to read classic literature - my current favorite author is Dostoevsky.
